Public Works

Comprised in the Town of Palmer Lake Public Works Department are a few functions of the town, including roads, parks maintenance, and stormwater management. These functions overlap in roles and interact closely with the Water Department.

Any excavation or opening in or under the surface of any street, alley, sidewalk or other public right-of-way within the limits of the city shall be done by a bonded contractor. Unless acting under agreement with the Town or approval of a building permit or Developer's Agreement, it is unlawful for any person, other than an authorized town official or employee in the course of employment, to make or cause any of this stated work. The Town should be notified by the contractor before planned construction is to commence and upon start-up whenever construction is delayed for any reason.
