Parks Activity Underway!

Your Parks Commission members have been busy! Amid other work, staff wants to thank and highlight the following activity completed –

• Thanks to the assistance of the Public Works staff, boulders are placed in parking areas!
• Thanks to Monument Scout Troop 17 member Jordan Bennett, two benches are placed at the east abutment of the pedestrian bridge!
• Thanks to extensive professional assistance, members have flagged the new trail from Kent St to the elephant rock property for viewing and began planning two temporary breakaway bridges to cross the creek!

If you are interested in pitching in, Parks is hosting a Service Day on June 3 from 9am-noon to continue cleanup of Creekside Trail. Be sure to contact palmerlakeparkscommission@gmail.com and complete a volunteer waiver form.
