Water Department
The Water Department has three full time employees who are responsible for maintaining the Town water treatment facility, multiple wells, the Town upper and lower reservoirs - a limited surface water supply - and the water distribution system. The town's water system is supplied by surface water (reservoirs) and groundwater (currently wells in the Arapahoe and Denver aquifer). Water service within the town is a first come, first serve basis at the time of land use development (new construction).
The water department repairs water main leaks, hydrant repairs, and will assist home owners when they have water issues, such as frozen pipes. Staff also assists the Roads and Parks department when necessary.
