Personalize a part of the 50-year Time Capsule

Following is a second video update provided by Mr. Jack Anthony:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4eGznbcdiM4

The time is quickly approaching. Please plan for Sunday, November 21, 2021, at 2:21 PM, just outside Palmer Lake Town Hall, 28 Valley Crescent, on the green.

To include an item to the Time Capsule, please contact Trustee Glant Havenar at ghavenar@palmer-lake.org and be sure to utilize the brand “Ziploc” to keep all items secure.

The following link is a 6-minute video that talks about the Town effort to create a 50-year Time Capsule.  The key focus is how to keep photos so they do not suffer degradation while encapsuled for 50 years, thanks to Mr. Jack Anthony.

Original Post (9/27/21):

At the September 23rd Board meeting, a proclamation was read to support the revitalization of the historic Town Hall. Restoration work begins with the roof/truss replacement and includes upgrading electrical, lighting, and adding technology, as well as restoring the 107-year old structure near its original appearance. Thanks go out to Mr. Jack Anthony and a small team of grant writers for assistance with the application for State Historical Grant Funds. If awarded, the Town intends to also upgrade the town hall front entrance, remodel a restroom for ADA compliance, and possibly update kitchen facilities. With thanks to TN Parker, progress is being made; and all Town officials, staff and citizens, alike, look forward to gathering again in this special place.
