Land Use

The Town of Palmer Lake retains the services of certain consultants, including engineers and inspectors as necessary, to evaluate applications for development and land use submitted to the Town.  All applications will require one electronic submittal along with one set of full drawings for the Administration office file. Questions pertaining to specific applications for land use should be directed to the Town office or directly to the Town Administrator/Clerk.

A local application must be submitted to the Town prior to respective approvals from Pikes Peak Regional Building Department. To submit plans to PPRBD, following your approval and payment to the Town of Palmer Lake, note the following link for assistance with electronic plan submittal:  https://www.pprbd.org/Download/ResidentialHandout

Upon completion of the project, when a final inspection is requested with PPRBD, the Town should also be contacted for final approval, and new construction requires a final ILC submitted to the Town, prior to final approval for occupancy (CO). Please direct questions to the Town Administrator/Clerk.

If considering a request to subdivide, replat, vacate a public right-of-way, or require a variance, or propose a development, please prepare a letter of intent and schedule a meeting with the Town Administrator/Clerk to review the proper procedure.
