Lake Parking Closure UPDATE

10/14/20  The lake trailhead WILL be closed to public access today for paving.

09/21/20  El Paso County Parks has hired a contractor to make some paving improvements to the park coming up in early October. A new ADA stall will be poured near the restroom and the entry to the trailhead will receive asphalt paving. 

The work is scheduled to start Monday Oct. 5th through Friday Oct. 9th. Work will stop over the weekend and resume Monday Oct. 12th and continue through Wednesday Oct. 14, 2020. The trailhead will need to be closed to the public on Tuesday Oct. 13th and possibly Wed. Oct. 14th for the new asphalt paving at the main entry.

The park, trail, and lake will remain open during the project, but the parking lot will be closed on Oct. 13th and possibly Oct. 14th.
